Petrol heads listen up! The CRC Speedshow is coming to Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds on the 16-17 July and it’s going to be epic! We’re talking about New Zealand’s biggest, most diverse automotive event where fans can fuel their passion for cars, bikes and motorsports! This year the CPR Speedshow will be celebrating its 10th anniversary so it promises to be an absolute cracker! You will get the chance to see the finest, fastest and coolest cars and motorcycles as well as mixing it up with some motor sport celebrities. If that’s not enough there will also be race cars, race bikes, hot rods and custom creation sin what promises to be a petrol heads dream!

This is not just an event for motor sport fans though – it promises to be a great day out for the whole family with lots of things for the kids to get involved with and plenty of amazing new cars on display. There is a wide range of activities taking place throughout the weekend and here are just some of the big ones to get you started:

Who knew that cutting the grass could be so competitive! Thanks to the team at the BOP Lawn Mower Racing Club, this year’s CRC Speedshow will have a live grasstrack lawn mower race. If you’re looking for something that’s a bit of fun and something a bit different, you need to check this out!

The Hot Rod Show

This promises to be something pretty spectacular and is something new to CRC Speedshow for 2016. The Hot Rod Show have teamed up with Jonesy’s Garage in Hamilton to build a special hot rod for All Black and Chief’s Lock, Brodie Rettalick. Motorsport Celebration

This year the CRC Speedshow will be celebrating all types of motorsport from go karts to formula first to V8 Supercars. There will be a huge range of high performance motorsport cars and bikes on display as well as some actual racing across the two days.

Have-A-Go

There are going to be a few cool have-a-go things to experience at the CRC Speedshow including a helicopter simulator, truck driving simulator, racing simulator and an opportunity to race against Kiwi icon Paul Radisich and win! Popular with kids and grown-ups alike, get there early as there are usually queues of people trying to beat the best times over the weekend!

New Zealand Made

Celebrating all things Kiwi, the New Zealand Made display will feature around 18 vehicles and motorcycles and is proudly backed by the Buy New Zealand Made campaign which promotes and encourages purchasing of a wide range of products made right here in New Zealand.
